4/12/2020 1 Comment Important notes from the AGMBarry Gibson-Smith has been elected as the new President of Tennis West of Scotland.
At Monday evening’s 106th Annual General Meeting of the organisation, the outgoing President John Jellema took pleasure in proposing the Western LTC member to take over the presidency with the incumbent congratulating him on a successful three year term of office. Amanda Slater [Whitecraigs] was appointed Vice-President. A good number of member clubs were represented at the meeting, held virtually for the first time. Christine Lockhart [Newlands] remains as chair of the Competitions group with John Shemilt [David Lloyd Glasgow West End] and Claire Kinloch-Anderson [Busby] being appointed as non-executive directors of the company. Club main contacts have been invited to attend a zoom meeting on Wednesday 9th December at 7:00 pm at which the leagues manager John Stevenson will launch the 2021 West of Scotland Competitions calendar ahead of online entry of club teams opening the following day. A number of new events have been introduced into the programme following feedback from clubs with a number of date changes for existing events also being announced.
